A Kansas County Treasurer performs both County and State functions. 

The County Treasurer is responsible for tax billing, collection of county property tax on real estate and personal property and distributions to all County entities (city, school districts, townships, etc.) for their use. 

The Treasurer’s Office also works with the Kansas Department of Revenue in the Vehicle department with the registration, tagging, titling, vehicle title changes of motor vehicles, Commercial vehicles and driver’s license renewals. 

The Treasurer is also responsible for all other moneys belonging to the County and/or directed by law to be paid to the Treasurer.
